Bob Banks
| Former Australian five-eighth Bob Banks coached Cairns in 1961. After leaving his native Newcastle Banks played coached and played in several places including Cunnamulla and in the North with Charters Towers and Ayr. |

After first representing Australia in 1953
Banks' international career ended in 1962 when he was chosen along side
Cairns team mate and test debutante Alan Gil for the second test against
Great Britain in Brisbane.
